Climashield-Self-Drilling screws are compliant to Australian Standard AS 3566.2 CLASS 3, (March 2003) Specification.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CLIMASHIELD screws are coated with unique anti-corrosion coating consisting of 3 distinct layers which combine to give exceptional Corrosion protection.

1. A mechanically deposited Zinc-Tin coating giving excellent galvanic protection. 

2. A chromate coating to passivate Zinc - Tin alloy coating further inhibiting coating loss and prevent weathering effect.

3. A special polyester coating (3 layers) to provide good all - round corrosin and log term weathering resistance

 

The AS 3566.2 is the Australian Standard for self drilling screws uses in the building and construction industries.
Corrosion resistance Class 3 refers to corrosion resistance class applicable for general external use in mild steel and moderate industrial and mild marine applications.
This class is intended for roofing and cladding screws in standard outdoor applications

 

The EPDM Sealing Washer is non conductive designed to provide effective weather sealing at exterior fixing points.
EPDM Rubber is mixed with anti-oxidant and anti-ozonant chemicals to prevent the attack of oxygen and ozone which are the major causes of permanent setting of molded rubber washers which causes water leakage.
